BAG Films' subsidiary gets licence for two channels

BAG Films & Media Ltd said that its subsidiary B.A.G. Glamour Pvt Ltd has been granted licence for two channel from the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.

The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India, has granted the permission of uplink and downlink of forthcoming non-news and current affairs channels, the media company informed the Bombay Stock Exchange in a communique.


"It has always been our vision to establish ourselves in the broadcasting arena and this is the first milestone towards realising the visions," managing director BAG Films & Media Anurradha Prasad said.

The names of these channels, belonging to B.A.G. Glamour Pvt Ltd, are E 24 and Life 24, it said.

The shares of the company closed 4.71 per cent up at Rs 61.10 on the BSE.
