The National Stock Exchange (NSE) on Wednesday said it was adding 15 new securities, including Development Credit Bank, Info Edge, Gitanjali Gems, Great Offshore, NIIT, Global Broadcast News, Hindustan Oil Exploration and Motor Industries, for trading in the futures and options (F&O) segment from Friday, taking the number of securities available for derivatives trading to 222. |
Following the announcement, which came mid-way through the trading session on Wednesday, share prices in all the 15 stocks flared up as investors bought into the companies, anticipating higher liquidity and better hedging prospects at the counters from Friday. |
