DHOOT INDUSTRIAL FINANCE LIMITED is a VIDEOCON GROUP company originally incorporated as a private limited company in the name of Sampoorria Traders Private Limited on 27th October 1978 and was converted into a Public Limited Company on 27th May 1994. Recently on 23rd September, 1994, the name of the company has been changed to its present name.

The Company is presently engaged in trading of industrial Chemicals like Caustic Soda Lye, Caustic Soda Flakes, Sulphuric Acid, Hydrochloric Acid, Poly Aluminum Chloride, Chlorine, Sodium Sulphate, Oleum etc. The Company is Authorised Dealer of reputed Companies like Century Rayon, Grasim Industries Limited, National Rayon Corporation Limited and Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Company Limited. In last five years, the Company has established its business of Chemicals. Various reputed parties like MIDC, Zuari Agro Chemicals Limited, BASF India Limited, Dharamsi Morarji Chemical Company Limited, Deepak Fertilisers & Chemicals Limited, Searle India Limited, Zenith Limited, National Peroxide Limited, Industrial Oxygen Limited, Orient Paper Mills Ltd., Sirpur Paper Mills Ltd., etc. are the regular customer of the company

 

Business verticals

 

·          Trading : trades in India or elsewhere as buyers, sellers, importers, exporters, merchants, suppliers, dealers in and of all kinds and classes of fine or heavy chemicals, alkalis, acids, drugs, pharmaceutical, paper board, pulp, tea, cement and allied products, cotton yarn, thread and cloth, linen, flax, jute and other fibres, silk, artificial silk, woolen and other goods and fabrics whether textile, frebbled, netted or looped, machinery spare parts, accessories and equipment of all kinds, dyes, soaps, glycerine and textile specialities of every description; disinfectants, cleansing materials of every description, toilet requisites, all kinds of packing requisites.

·          Investment banking : Does Bill Dis counting, re-discounting, Factoring of any company, firm, activities pertaining to bills discounting, arranges acceptance or co-acceptance of bills to hold, place, keep, receive or otherwise Inter Corporate Deposits with/from various Companies and also act as broker, manager for activities pertaining to Inter Corporate Deposits and Loans.

·          currency management : works for Foreign Exchange Transactions as agent, broker, manager, dealer also  engaged in the business of forward contracts in financial futures, currency futures, commodity fitness, options, swap options and all other financial derivatives/mechanisms.

·          Industrial financing: It undertake and promote industrial financing by way of venture capital, loans, advances, deposits or lend money, securities and properties to or with any company, body corporate, firm, person, or association .

·           Merchant banking :  carries on and undertake the business of underwriting, sub- under writing and act as commission agents, brokers, sub- brokers for all securities in primary, secondary markets also act as agents, managers for rendering portfolio management services and also as investment advisor to carry on and undertake the business of Merchant Banking, Issue House, Registrars and Share/Debenture Transfer Agents .

·          Dhoot has shown an impressive 54.95% CAGR (Q to Q) growth in PBT for past 5 quarters.

·          PAT has grown by an impressive 85%  CAGR (QtoQ) for past 5 quarters.

·          Sales have grown at 20% CAGR (QtoQ) for past 5 quarters.

·          At estimated EPS of 11.20 (FY 07) at cmp @ 32.5 the stock trades at PE of 2.9

·          Book value of Dhoot is Rs 31.48 per share.

·          Free reserve per share stood at Rs 16 per share on FY 07 basis.

·          Dhoot has an investment portfolio whose market value stands at 16 Cr. while at cmp market cap of Dhoot Industrial Finance limited stands at 17.6421 Cr.

·          Dhoot Industrial Finance net profit rises 246.67% in the June 2007 quarter

 

there is good scope of improvement in companies performance , results have shown good growth for past 5 qtrs now. in my view this could be a multibagger  for future.
