BGR Energy Systems will list on the stock exchanges today, 3 January 2008. The stock will be placed in the B1 group on BSE. The company had fixed the issue price at the top end of the Rs 425-480 IPO price band. At the IPO price of Rs 480, the PE multiple works out to 129.73 based on the 18 months ended March 2007 EPS of Rs 3.70. BGR Energy Systems IPO had ended on 12 December 2007 with 119.54 times subscription.

BGR Energy Systems, a supplier of systems and equipment for the power, oil and gas, petrochemical and process industries.

Burnpur Cement (BCL) will debut on stock exchanges today, 3 January 2008. The stock will be placed in B1 group on BSE. At the IPO price of Rs 12, the PE multiple works out to 40, based on the year ended March 2007 EPS of Rs 0.30.

The fixed price initial public offer (IPO) of Burnpur Cement (BCL), which closed on 3 December 2007, was subscribed 15.19 times.

Burnpur Cements manufactures portland slag cement at Asansol, West Bengal.

ACC said on Wednesday, 2 January 2007, its December 2007 cement shipments fell 6% to 1.57 million tonnes from 1.67 million tonnes a year earlier. ACC said its production in December 2007 was 1.58 million tonnes, down from 1.65 million tonnes a year ago.

Tata Motors said on Wednesday, 2 January 2007, its vehicle sales fell 2.2% in December 2007 to 47,678 units from 48,757 units a year earlier. Sales of commercial vehicles rose 1.7% to 28,661 units from 28,179 units, while sales of passenger vehicles dropped 13% to 14,316 units. Exports rose 15.7% to 4,701 units from 4,063 units.

Hero Honda Motors said on Wednesday, 3 January 2008, it sold 2,40,532 units in December 2007, down 4.7% from 2,52,462 units sold a year earlier.

Steel Exchange India said on Wednesday, 2 January 2008, its board has approved raising up to Rs 200 crore through the issue of securities to institutions or by way of Global Depositary Receipts or American Depositary Receipts. The board also approved the issue of 4.79 million warrants at Rs 126 each to a promoter group.

The government on Wednesday, 2 January 2008, approved 24 proposals for building special economic zones, including that of Steel Authority of India (Sail), Dr Reddy's Laboratories and Best & Crompton. Sail plans to build a tax-free zone in Tamil Nadu for producing steel, while Dr Reddy's aims to set up a pharma zone in Andhra Pradesh.
